Date night and my favorite black dress

Last night was church. The hubs and I lead a small group...pretty much the best small group in the history of ever. We have made such good friends and have grown to love each couple in our group so much. To be honest, when we were first asked to lead a group, I didn't want to. As always it was for selfish reasons. But we knew it was what we should do, and I cant tell you how much I love it. I look forward to Wednesday nights now. I look forward to seeing the people in our group every week. As always, God was right.
I tell you all of this...well, for no reason really, except to say we ditched.
I guess the phrase "long story short" doesn't apply here.

Anyway, thanks to some very good friends of ours who cover for us on the nights we cant make it, we were able to sneak away. The hubs surprised me with a date to the AZ Broadway Theater (click here for more info.) Its a bit pricey (we had a very kind couple give us tickets) but if you're looking for something different, to mix up date night a little, I recommend this.

I dabble in acting here and there. We have an amazing and talented drama director at my church, so I've had the opportunity to learn so much about something I love to do, and serve my church at the same time. Double score! The hubs knows this and despite his "I love sports, all things sports, and nothing but sports" mentality, he takes me to plays every once in a while, and you know what - he likes it. Our favorite play is "Wicked". This show should be on everyone's bucket list. Seriously. Don't die until you see this.

Dress: Ross (old)
Earrings: Target
Clutch: Thrifted
Sandals: DSW (old)
I haven't been wearing much jewelry lately.
Its getting hot in AZ, so I've been opting for simple and light.

Yep, he's alllll mine!

However, this picture annoys me. I was trying to move fast because we were in a hurry so I was like "I need to make sure the lighting is good" snap! No warning, just point and snap. "haha...that's gonna be a goofy picture..." I said.
Nope.
Totally unexpected, he didn't even have to try, and he looks this good...a little disgruntled, but hottt. Meanwhile, an hour, 12 outfits, makeup, lip gloss and just the right angle later, I'm ready for my picture to be taken.
Men suck sometimes.

Happy day before Friday!!!
